Context: The Shift from e-Government to Transformational Government
This session will provide an overview of recent trends in ICT-enabled reform within the public sector. The speaker will begin by highlighting key differences between traditional e-government approaches and what is now known as the 'Transformational Government' approach. The session will conclude with a discussion on the need for a Transformational Government Framework. Highlighted during this session will be a summary of a recent gap analysis performed between current standards and reference models. |

Each speaker will identify their perspective on why there's a need for a new Transformational Government Framework. They will all highlight their views on why this work is necessary and important. In addition, the World Bank will provide their rationale and objectives for the eTransformation Initiative. |
