Interoperability Demonstrations

The power of true interoperability between enterprise applications can not be overestimated. Public and private sector IT decision-makers are demanding interoperability and reference it as a requirement for procurement above all other criteria. OASIS is well known for the integrity of the interoperability demonstration program. Members of various OASIS Technical Committees (TCs) are invited to showcase applications and tools that support OASIS open standards through these demonstrations. We invite your TC to consider this opportunity, so please let us know if you would like us to discuss this opportunity further with your committee.

The following is a general overview of the benefits:

  • Panel Session: OASIS will provide a scheduled panel session dedicated to the demonstration on the Symposium programme.  Panel sessions are about 45 minutes in length, and include either one representative from the group or the entire group (to be determined by the group during the Interop planning process).  As always, vendor-neutrally should be considered when making the presentation during the programme.

  • Solutions Showcase Area: OASIS will also provide an area at the Symposium venue for each Interop demonstration to promote their participation.  Each Interop participant will receive a space within this area (The Solutions Showcase).  Participants are welcome to demonstrate on behalf of the Interop and their company within their space.

Each Interop participant will be responsible to attend regularly scheduled teleconferences and collaborative demonstration dry runs during the planning and preparation stages.  A minimal participant fee will also apply to help cover costs associated with the Interop demonstration. More details on the participant fee and additional benefits are below.
