ebXML Standards at OASIS

The first phase phase of the joint OASIS-UN/CEFACT ebXML project delivered an initial set of technical specifications in 2001. Within OASIS, work on ebXML continued and resulted in 2002 of version 2.0 specifications of the ebXML Messaging (ebMS), ebXML Collaboration Protocol Profiles and Agreements (CPP/A), and ebXML Registry, all of which have subsequently been endorsed by ISO as the first four parts of the ISO 15000 series in 2004. In December 2006 a version 2.0 of the ebXML Business Process was adopted as an OASIS Standard, and most recently a version 3.0 of the ebXML Messaging specification was adopted. A version 3.0 of the ebXML CPP/A standard is expected later this year.
