OASIS is willing to co-sponsor selected conferences, seminars, and other educational events that promote the awareness and importance of our open standards. Event Organizers seeking event co-sponsorship from OASIS should review the following list of standard practices, which are designed to provide mutual benefit.
Note: Events that feature OASIS executives as keynote presenters, session chairs, and/or speakers -- are preferable candidates for OASIS co-sponsorship.
OASIS DELIVERABLES:
- Authorization
Event Organizers are allowed to post the OASIS logo, a brief organization description, and web link on their event web site. - Event Calendar Promotion
OASIS will post the event logo and brief profile on the OASIS on-line event calendar. Profiles must be objective and informative in nature. - OASIS Newsletter Announcement
OASIS will mention the event title, dates, and link in one copy of the OASIS Newsletter. The information will be compiled by OASIS staff and will highlight OASIS staff content and member discounts. - Email Marketing
OASIS will provide Event Organizers (provided they are OASIS members) with permission to post an event announcement to the OASIS Announce Email List. Non-members will need to contact the events department for other arrangements (events@oasis-open.org).
Special note: Due to privacy constraints, OASIS is not able provide Event Organizers with member names or contact information. - OASIS Speaker
Upon request and pending availability, a business or technical presentation by an OASIS speaker may be provided to the Event Organizer.
Special note: The Event Organizer will be responsible to cover any travel expenses for such a speaker.
EVENT ORGANIZER DELIVERABLES:
- Attendee Registration Insert
The Event Organizer will distribute, at no cost, one piece of OASIS printed material (datasheet, white paper, membership information) in all attendee bags and/or registration packets. - Complimentary Event Pass(es)
One or more complimentary event registrations will be available for OASIS staff. - Complimentary Exhibit Space or Other
Where appropriate, the Event Organizer will provide OASIS with a complimentary exhibit space, table-top display, and/or literature rack. - Complimentary Meeting Room
The Event Organizers will provide OASIS one or more complimentary meeting rooms to hold face-to-face Technical Committee meetings. - OASIS Member Discount
The Event Organizer will provide OASIS members with a discount to the event, which OASIS will promote in the OASIS Newsletter and website. The amount of the discount is made at the discretion of the Event Organizer. - Post-Conference Attendance List
The Event Organizer will forward a copy of the final conference attendee list to OASIS.
