OASIS will host an EDXL Interoperability Demonstration on the exhibit floor of the Emergency Management & Homeland Security Expo (EMEX), held in conjunction with the annual conference of the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM). Members of the OASIS Emergency Management (EM) Technical and Adoption Committees will showcase applications and tools that support the Emergency Data Exchange Language (EDXL) suite of standards.
WHAT DO INTEROP PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE?
The following benefits will be provided to each Interop participating organization:
- Company name and logo in Interop ad in Emergency Management Magazine
- Two complimentary passes, which include access to the conference sessions and meal/social functions (additional registrations may be reserved for an additional fee)
- Workstation within the OASIS booth (table or counter, chair, & electricity)
- An Internet connection
- Company name in Interop demonstration description
for the on-site EMEX expo guide
- Company logo on Interop booth banner will be provided, plus the group will collectively decide on additional company signage to ensure fairness and consistency
- Collateral materials may be produced and distributed in company workstation
- Company highlight in OASIS press release (quote from foundational and sponsor-level OASIS members)
- Option to contribute content for the Interop showfloor presentation
- Company highlighted on OASIS website
- Inclusion in Interop scenario handout to be distributed in booth
- Complete list of attendees, as well as a list of booth visitors (provided after the show)
- Waived participation fee for the post-event Interop webinar
WHO QUALIFIES?
Participation in the OASIS Interop is a benefit of OASIS membership and an opportunity for OASIS members to be recognized for their leadership role in developing standards. Companies that are not currently members of OASIS are encouraged to join OASIS in order to participate in the Interop. For information on membership, contact Carol Geyer.
Organizations that hold Foundational, Sponsor, or Contributor level membership in OASIS are welcome to participate in the Interop. Individual or Associate members of OASIS are also eligible to participate; however, they must do so on their own personal behalf. Individual or Associate members who wish to promote their company affiliations and take advantage of Interop marketing benefits for their employers are encouraged to learn more about organizational membership options by contacting Carol Geyer.
Participants who wish to demonstrate support for the Interop emergency scenario must be confirmed by OASIS before 3 September.
This lead time respects the inter-dependent nature of the Interop and ensures
that all participants are aware of demonstration requirements.
INTEROP PARTICIPANT FEE

A fee per participating company will be allocated to cover the costs associated with the show floor demonstration. OASIS foundational- and sponsor-level members receive a 25% discount off the fee. Interop participant fees include:
- 2600 USD per participating company

Each organization will receive all the benefits outlined below. Space will be available for set-up and testing on Monday, 1 November. The show will open for a special reception Monday evening. A minimum number of six participants are required to ensure the floor space.
